From the Dawn of Tomorrow to the Human Being of the Future: A Call to the Socialist Bloc for Organization and a New Culture of Democracy
Beyond the Illusion of the Ballot Box—A Call for a New Culture of Democracy and Grassroots Organization in Every Sphere of Life

The Capitalist Order’s Intolerance of Its Own Law
On the morning of Sunday, May 24, 2026, Turkish political history became the stage for a new moment of rupture in which bourgeois democracy and its illusion of a "state of law" collapsed entirely and the masks were brazenly torn off. Immediately after former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s lawyers submitted a release petition to the Ankara Police Department, riot police and plainclothes officers effectively raided the headquarters of the main opposition party, the Republican People’s Party (CHP), with tear gas, plastic bullets, and water cannon (TOMA) vehicles. The breaking of the parking lot’s iron barriers, the spraying of gas inside the building, and the forcible eviction of the sovereign space where the elected administration kept vigil behind the doors spilled the structural crisis of the capitalist state mechanism onto the street in its most naked form.
Examined through a revolutionary lens, this scene is not surprising; on the contrary, it is historical proof of the contradiction inherent in bourgeois legality. When its own survival and the continuity of its cliques are endangered, the capitalist order itself becomes incapable of tolerating the very principles of the "rule of law" that it preaches in order to pacify the masses.
While, under Article 79 of the Constitution, the Supreme Election Council (YSK) is the sole and final body for certifying elections, the annulment of a party congress by a court of first instance or an appellate chamber through an ordered ruling has shown how the ruling class can trample even its own constitution overnight. The picture before us is the certification of a fascistic administrative structure in which, through open violations of law, the gangs of interest and oligarchs trying to protect their own interests brazenly usurp even the last formal rights left in the hands of the masses.
The Limits of the Order Parties and the Invisible Cost of Clique Wars
The greatest impasse of structures positioned within the bounds of the capitalist order is that they pass the bill for their structural crises onto the people. Indeed, the shock that this ordered "Absolute Nullity" ruling created both domestically and in international public opinion has been enormous.
Economic and International Repercussions
- Financial Collapse: From the very first moment the ruling was announced, the Istanbul Stock Exchange went into a tailspin, triggering index-based circuit breakers, while banking shares lost more than 8% of their value.
- Burning Through the Reserves: In order to prevent exchange rates from soaring, 6 billion dollars were burned through from public banks within half an hour, and a total of nearly 10 billion dollars of reserves belonging to the people were brazenly burned. Because of this clique war, an effective 7,500 TL was stolen from the pocket of every single citizen who thinks they are not interested in politics.
- The Bankruptcy of Global Reputation: While Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek and Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan were at the table with foreign funds in London, the ruling came down, and as British economist Timothy Ash also noted, investors left the room. The international press (Reuters, Bloomberg, FT) announced the event to the world under headlines such as "the latest blow dealt to Erdoğan’s rivals through the judiciary" and "democratic backsliding."
The Inside Story of the Clique Wars and the AKP–Kılıçdaroğlu Alliance
The real cause of this collapse is the seat- and rent-oriented clique conflicts that the order parties wage within themselves. Figures like Lütfü Savaş, who initiated the legal proceedings by exploiting loopholes in the Civil Code after the normal objection periods had expired, opened a useful door for the operation of the powerful.
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, meanwhile, due to his never-ending lust for his seat and his careerist ambition, has become the most useful apparatus of the reactionary circles that desire the continuity of the system. He prepared the ground by filming a "purification" video exactly one day before the ruling, and in the dead of morning, backed by the mafia-like and criminal types he brought along, he laid siege to the very door of his own party’s headquarters, signing off on fascistic thuggery.
The AKP and Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek organized this ambition flawlessly for their own interests; using criminal investigations as blackmail, they instrumentalized the law and put into practice their plan to "tame" the opposition through fascistic pressure.
Revolutionary Note: The essence of the order parties is no different from one another. While today we defend to the end the legitimate street resistance against fascistic pressures, we know that tomorrow, even if the bourgeois order party CHP comes to power, as long as capitalist relations of exploitation continue, the struggle for democracy, human rights, and uninterrupted labor must proceed with determination.
Parliamentarism Is Not an End, but Merely a Means
For those of us who claim to build the free world and the new human being of the future, parliamentarism is not the ultimate address of social emancipation; it is merely a tactical means by which we can carry our voice to the masses and expose the lies of the powerful. The bourgeois illusion that reduces politics to the ritual of going to the ballot box from election to election turns the people into passive spectators. Real legitimacy and transformative power lie not in parliamentary seats but in the organized power of the masses who create life with their own hands.
- Horizontal and Mass Organization: We must shift our political focus away from electoral calendars and toward the Workplace Committees, independent unions, and democratic mass organizations (CSOs) that we will create in factories, neighborhoods, campuses, and office plazas. No force that does not arise from the local and the grassroots can break the siege of capital.
- Building Alternative Structures: Against the apparatuses of bourgeois ideology that stupefy the masses, we must, starting today, organize our own alternative education centers, collective living spaces, and nuclei of enlightenment. Politics cannot be a mechanism in which the people merely cast a vote and step aside; even the local governments (municipalities) that we ourselves elect must be subjected to an oversight structure that critiques and monitors them every day for something better, operating from the bottom up.
- The Motto of Uninterrupted Struggle: We repeat: regardless of who sits in the parliamentary seats, as long as the capitalist order exists, the struggle for human rights, freedom revolutions, and the emancipation of labor is, for us, uninterrupted and continuous.
Concrete Tasks for Building a Culture of Democracy from the Grassroots
Gaining the capacity for joint struggle and dispersing the fascistic blockade is not possible through elitist defenses confined to courthouse corridors. The concrete tasks before us for building a culture of democracy from the grassroots and upon an unshakable ethics are as follows:
- A Mobilization of Class Consciousness: We must explain to the masses that the bill for these crises, stock market collapses, and lawlessness is reflected directly in the kitchen of the working class. We must launch a social enlightenment movement that will prevent the masses from being drawn into the vortex of "learned helplessness" and apoliticism, and that will deconstruct the logical fallacies of the powerful (the tape conspiracies, the fabricated bribery claims).
- The Organizational Model of the Human Being of the Future: The structures we will build cannot rest, like the bourgeois parties, on leader fetishism, secret clique protocols, and delegate bargaining. The organizational model that will build the world of tomorrow consists of structures that make the right of the grassroots to speak and decide absolute—structures that are non-hierarchical, collective, and based on direct democracy.
- A Call to the Front Lines and the Streets: We must turn every sphere of life—factories, streets, neighborhoods—into a front line of resistance and organization against fascism. The comfortable line of pajama-and-slipper opposition must be rejected; legitimate civil disobedience, general strikes, and organized boycott lines drawing on the power of consumption must be organized in every sphere.
- Governance with the Ethics of the Future: Every collective structure we have built and will build must be accountable from the bottom up, answerable to the grassroots, and improvable through mechanisms of criticism and self-criticism. Against the shamelessness of the political tradesmen, we must, starting today, make the clean, honest, and revolutionary ethics of the future’s exploitation-free world prevail in all our institutions.
Conclusion: The Initiative Will Be Written by the Hands of the People
Ultimately, the only force that will decide about our own lives, our labor, our daily bread, and our freedom is ourselves. We do not have a single second to waste waiting for the winds of lies and ballot-box simulations set before us once every five years.
Without waiting from election to election, we must organize—at every moment, every second, and everywhere life gushes forth—to beautify our own world, to defend our labor, and to build the future starting today. The calculations of those who wish to engineer the political sphere by leaving us without candidates, without leaders, and without options are doomed to melt away before the organized will and the united struggle of the masses rising from the grassroots.
The course of history will be determined not by the rulings issued from the hands of the palace’s judiciary, but by the organized self-power of a people who claim ownership of their own lives and their own tomorrow.
Under the independent banner of the order of the future—to organizing from the bottom up and building the future!
